Been a while since I've posted a recipe on here, so here goes. This is a recipe found on the bag of Guittard Real Milk Chocolate Chips. These suckers are big with being between the size of a Hershey's Kiss and a regular sized chocolate chip. You could just eat them as is.
These cookies have a shortbread base and are very sandy in texture. They don't spread much and can be delicate. I think I made them a little bigger than the recipe reads. I also didn't sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
Shortbread Rounds (recipe on the bag, but not on the website)
Little cookies with big milk chocolate chips that melt in your mouth.
Yield 3 1/2 dozen 1-inch round cookies.
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 cup unsifted all-purpose flour
1 cup (6 oz) milk chocolate chips
powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer at low to medium speed until light. Gradually add flour until combined. Stir in chips by hand. If dough seems dry or crumbly, it will stick together when shaped with your hands.
Using the palms of your hands, roll well-rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake 13-15 minutes. Cookies will still be pale. Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet and dust with powdered
sugar if desired.

OMG, where have I been? I hope everyone had a Merry X-mas, Happy Hanukkah, etc. The holidays managed to crazily drive me into madness. IT has been frakkin' cold. Like chilling down to the bones.
I have also been trying to get my son into preschool and had so many appointments in regards to it. Boo just started special education preschool for his PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorder) last week on the 5th. Even though, three hours is just a small amount of time to be separated from him, it feels like more. Is it weird to miss your child for that reason? XD He is doing super-duper too and loves going to school, although he did pitch a few temper tantrums during the first couple days. The goal for Boo is transition to General Ed Kindergarten by next fall and get him talking. It's amazing how much he's changed! He's also taking the school bus and not flipping out. In fact, he's been a mellow fellow. Now, his sister wants to go to school just like her brother!
They grow up so fast.Crafty stuff I've done over the holidays!

i have been terribly sick in the last couple of weeks with a killer cold. sorry about the non-blogging since i am still recovering. the weather here in daly city has been wet, cold, and foggy. we had at least 2 or 3 days sunny weather. and rain, i love rain. *sarcasm* i've had a lot of drama in last few weeks.

i talk about paper goodies a whole lot, so it's about time i share a little of my own. i scanned this piece of japanese gift wrap and tweaked it in photoshop. i got a batch of it from kyun san jose when it was open years ago. sadly enough that store and related are long gone.

1)re-do knitting needle sizing chart to include crochet needles.
2)update tanpopo craft's library with new titles including isbn.
3)add new content, such as downloadables.
4)merge my food blog with this one, cuz maintaining more than one is uh...HARD.
