Blogging inconsistencies...New material needed!

I have been twittering more than blogging as of late, because twittering has been more available. Family issues and everything kinda has been taking over. Lately, content for me has been hard to get. I don't want to give you stuff that you've read about before in previous entries...Unless you want that, in that case make a comment below. :) I am still working on trying to improve this blog. In that case, new content is imminent!

IMATS 2011 LA, Pasadena Convention Center

I went to IMATS LA!! Saturday, June 25 to Sunday, June 26, was fun, but a long drive! Went with family! Tons of people with the lines curling around the building practically! I was also battling a cold or allergy thing that I had last week and came back! Tried to stay positive during it! Missed my DH and kids!

Picture intensive of course! Forgive the time/date sig. It's wrong.

...more later!

This is a nifty idea from the Triscut folks: So far so good with my window sill herb and flower garden. There's some green goin' on!

With Japan's tsunami and earthquake still looming overhead, we got our five person emergency kit from amazon seller OUTDOORSMOR, and some emergency food from! Just in case!

Totally unrelated, I have a craving for chocolate pudding...via

Growing a windowsill garden of herbs, sunflowers, and zinnias.

Found these for $1 at Target!

Made White Cakes with Strawberry Jam....

FYI, Wilton Cupcake Papers NG, Reynolds Cupcake Papers much better. Why? The Wilton liners have some tendency to crumple when I poured the batter into them. Need to work on Jam sinking to the bottom of White Cupcakes. Need to do more research!

There's something about these cookies.

I love this ccc recipe! I know I've been making them a lot. I've switched out the semi-sweet chocolate chips for milk chocolate chips and the a.p. flour with bread flour. I've tried it with both.

Mrs. Fields' Blue-Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (*used Gold Medal Better for Bread Flour*)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (*used Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips*)

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a medium bowl combine flour, soda, and salt. Mix well with wire whisk. Set aside. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, blend sugars at medium speed. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix at medium speed until just blended. Do not overmix. Add the flour mixture and chocolate chips, and blend at low speed until just mixed. (Again, do not overmix.)

Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto an un-greased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake low and slow for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer cookies immediately to a baking rack or cool surface.

Baking nerd. Paper Love

I just been baking Chocolate Chip Cookies like crazy. I made Fantasy Fudge and Mrs. Fields' Blue Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookies!
(My go-to recipe now and forever ~!! )

Mrs. Fields' Blue Ribbon Chocolate Chip Cookies and more is found at Mrs. Fields' blog:  Mrs. Fields Secrets. This is her REAL blog.

The Fantasy Fudge recipe is found on the back of the Kraft Marshmallow Creme bottle. The online recipe can be found here: Kraft Fantasy Fudge @ the Kraft website or here verbatim: Apparently, the recipe has changed a bit since the original was formed in a 9 x 13 in. pan using chocolate chips and the new is done in a 9 in. square pan using a melted semi-sweet chocolate bar.
