Blogging inconsistencies...New material needed!

I have been twittering more than blogging as of late, because twittering has been more available. Family issues and everything kinda has been taking over. Lately, content for me has been hard to get. I don't want to give you stuff that you've read about before in previous entries...Unless you want that, in that case make a comment below. :) I am still working on trying to improve this blog. In that case, new content is imminent!

Bin Laden...Bleh.

Bin Laden is no longer with us. Why are the networks milking it all for its worth. I agree it's a world changing event...but COME ON!!

This is a nifty idea from the Triscut folks: http://www.homefarming.com... So far so good with my window sill herb and flower garden. There's some green goin' on!

With Japan's tsunami and earthquake still looming overhead, we got our five person emergency kit from amazon seller OUTDOORSMOR, and some emergency food from thereadystore.com! Just in case!

Holidays are upon us!

I hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays thus far. Thanksgiving was a doozy for the entire family...we all got colds.

Now, the weather is really cooling down. Our pilot light pooped out, so we have no central heating. This week is so busy. We're running around doing holiday shopping, kids got flu shots, kiddy X-mas parties, and holiday baking galore! TV is about to croak, so we got a new LCD 32" Sony Brevia at Best Buy! Hubby caved and treated himself to an XBox360 with Kinect, and got Dance Central.

Goal this coming new year is BE MORE ACTIVE!! This baby/me weight has got to go!

Haven't blogged in a long while.

Yes, I've caved to FB-ing and tweeting. Ugh, the sign of the times.

Honestly, I haven't been crafting too much lately. Life has been terrible.

But, it's going to be a new year.

OMG, where have I been? I hope everyone had a Merry X-mas, Happy Hanukkah, etc. The holidays managed to crazily drive me into madness. IT has been frakkin' cold. Like chilling down to the bones.

I have also been trying to get my son into preschool and had so many appointments in regards to it. Boo just started special education preschool for his PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorder) last week on the 5th. Even though, three hours is just a small amount of time to be separated from him, it feels like more. Is it weird to miss your child for that reason? XD He is doing super-duper too and loves going to school, although he did pitch a few temper tantrums during the first couple days. The goal for Boo is transition to General Ed Kindergarten by next fall and get him talking. It's amazing how much he's changed! He's also taking the school bus and not flipping out. In fact, he's been a mellow fellow. Now, his sister wants to go to school just like her brother! They grow up so fast.

Crafty stuff I've done over the holidays!

Make kid mittens! The two needle kind, cuz I'm still kinda of noobish on dpns.

I made this Banana Cake for my husband's b-day on Dec. 24th.

its almost christmas. since i've scrapped the baby stuff project, my attempts at the scarf are okay. i've managed to learn the garter stitch, which is the easiest i've heard. i've had one snafu...apparently there was a fray in the first attempt. i've turned it into a coin purse, cuz the stitches were loose in some spots and the yarn frayed in some spots so there was some holes in it. i will probably embroider some flowers over the holes. ^^;; pictures of the coin purse coming soon. i went to japan town in sf and went to kinokuniya bookstore. i saw some really nice knitting books. i might attempt to try a chunky knit style scarf that i saw in these books. anyhoo seems like i'm running out of yarn soon for the scarf i'm working so off to michael's i go soon and hopefully have this done by january. ha-ha. :P

yesterday dave and i got our marriage certificate... we are getting married on jan 13. 2002.

this is my crafting log. i am going to chronicle my attempts to make something with my hands. o___O here is a recap of the past couple of months.this is from my other blog with some relevant editing.
september... been feeling like knitting. flashback of childhood when my mom taught my sister and i to knit. it was pale yellow for me and soft pink for her. we wanted to make sweaters for our favorite stuffed animals: hubert (hubie) the pooh ~winnie the pooh in disguise and linda the pink rabbit respectively. since my sister and i are older and she now has kids... i've decided to try making something for my niece areiah and my nephew ethan for christmas. good luck to me. bought knitting needles and really nice yarn in baby soft colors...i think its called fingering yarn. it's really fine. not having much luck with the knitting. need some help.

october...i bought the the The Complete Idiot's Guide to Knitting & Crocheting by Gail Diven, Cindy Kitchel(Introduction), Nancy Lindemeyer from stacey's bookstore on market street. i've been working on my knitting... i showed my mom the baby knit yarn and well...she kicks butt at knitting. o___O i tried to imitate what she did...no go. un raveled the whole thing. my mom tells me to try a more hardier yarn. my brother still has his yarn from a past summer school project: skeins of blue and brown bought from michaels. i'll use those.

november...went to thankgiving lunch at a chinese restaurant with my fiance's family and spent thankgiving dinner at my parents' house. i made two pumpkin pies and green bean casserole. blah. i gave up on the baby stuff. i am now attempting to make a scarf.

august...working...celebrated my birthday on august 9th...had dinner at Boca de Pepo (?)..very good portions and very good food. got a gold and pearl ring from my parents. we might move to san jose. i bought a tiara on ebay that i have been bidding on for a long time.

september...working...dad's birthday on the 21st. registered for japanese 2a. been feeling like knitting. i've decided to try making something for areiah and ethan. good luck to me. bought knitting needles and really nice yarn in baby soft colors...i think its called fingering yarn. it's really fine. not having much luck with the knitting. need some help.

watched with my fiance and my family the ring...scarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryy...*ulp* @____@. i think i will never look at leaving my tv on the same again!

november...my youngest bro jason's b-day on the 11th...we bought him grand theft auto: vice city....last day for work as a receptionist on the 13th...dropped japanese 2a...went to the no doubt / garbage / the distillers concert at the compaq convention center in san jose on the 14th. no doubt rocks. i bought a shirt online. went to thankgiving lunch at a chinese restaurant with my fiance's family and spent thankgiving dinner at my parents' house. i made two pumpkin pies and green bean casselrole. i've been working on my knitting... i showed my mom the baby knit yarn and well...she kicks butt at knitting. o___O i tried to imitate what she did...no go. un raveled the whole thing. my mom tells me to try a more hardier yarn. my brother still has his yarn from a past summer school project. i'll use that. searching online...i found knitting blogs...and notmartha who is starting my obsession with knitting and do-it-yourself projects, like making my own lipbalm. with her story of getting the lip balm kit from marthastewart.com!

now for the lovely month of december...tada!

today i've started a craft blog...featuring all my attempts at being crafty and stuff like that. it's called tanpopo craft. tanpopo is japanese for dandelion.

WEDDING PLANS... civil ceremony o___o ?? estimated date of wedding: month of december...snowflake theme possible.

march....not much has passed. i started a job at vector marketing as a sales rep. nihongo 1b is harder to understand but i was having fun. made some friends: will-kun, danny-kun, haruka-chan, linda-chan, and terry-san.

april...melissa, dave's sister, turned 19 on the 26th. something bad happened to her on the morning after. she had to go to the hospital.

April 29th was my widdle nephew ethan's 1st birthday! :) He took the cutest pictures for his birthday.

may...may 3 or 4, we had ethan's birthday party. spent all day cooking and then jumping around in the jumper they rented for the day. the weather was really nice too. it was so funny to see all the so-called "adults" jumping around; namely myself, my fiance, my sister's husband, and various grown cousins. LOL My mother's birthday was on May 5th. we gave her two flowering potted plants- from dave, my brother jason and i - red tulips; from my sister jerilyn and her husband Q: fuschia daisies. and we gave her a tiny birthday cake. Liezl and Miles go to the Philippines for their second wedding! o__O I was soo happy for them.

june... was the end of the semester. i passed frontpage with an A without any effort and got a B in nihongo. we gave tanaka-sensei a small going away gift and card with a cute puppy on it. i had fun in her class. she is now teaching nihongo at UC Berkeley. good luck sensei! i started working as a receptionist at vector marketing part-time on the weekend. began looking for an apartment.

BIG NEWS!! My sister gave birth to a baby girl, Areiah Faith, 7 lbs. 1oz. on June 27, Thursday. I was not able to make it to the hospital. Apparently, my sister gave birth so fast. o___O so i missed out. Areiah is a cutie. She looks just like my sister. She's a Cabbage Patch Baby! :) I gave her a pink beanie baby for a presento!

july...got more hours as receptionist. apartment hunting goes on. looking for a second job. i would love to get back into school taking nihongo again. we'll see how this goes. Ethan and Areiah look different every week.

WEDDING PLANS: still up in the air, still getting ideas....maybe eloping who knows?
